An accounting assistant that lives where the work already is
Millions of Indian businesses run their books in Tally. Tallyzen connects to that existing system and automates the workflows around it — GST filings, reconciliations, and MIS reports — delivered straight to WhatsApp. I started it as a personal project in July 2026; it's now live with an open waitlist.
Tally records the numbers. It doesn't do the work.
Tally is where the data lives, but the tasks that actually take time still don't happen on their own — filing GST, reconciling accounts, pulling a monthly MIS report. Each one is manual, repetitive, and bottlenecked on an accountant's availability. The information is right there; turning it into a filed return or a clean report is still someone's afternoon.

Meet users where they already talk — WhatsApp
Indian SMB owners don't live in dashboards; they live in WhatsApp. So instead of asking them to learn new software, Tallyzen delivers reports, reconciliations, and filing prompts through the channel they already check every day. The bet: adoption follows the path of least friction.
A working product, not a prototype
Tallyzen connects to a user's Tally system and surfaces their real numbers — collections, taxes paid, pending invoices, recent transactions — in a clean dashboard, with the heavier workflows (GST, reconciliation, MIS) automated on top. It's built and deployed, with a live waitlist capturing real demand and use-case data from every signup.

The waitlist doubles as discovery — every signup tells us their role and use case.
50 signups in the first month — all inbound
Tallyzen is live and has drawn 50 waitlist signups in its first month, with no paid acquisition. It's early, and I'm using that demand — and the use-case data each signup provides — to decide which workflow to deepen first.
From waitlist to first users
Next is converting the waitlist into active pilots, and using their real Tally data to sharpen the highest-value automation. The waitlist's use-case answers are already pointing to where to focus.
